Glassic Boatworks, LLC. actually started as a hobby in 1991, serving friends in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina. It wasn't until 2005 that I had realized that the "hobby" had grown legs of its own and led us to become a fully insured, LLC corporation in North Carolina. It was at thios time, I had also realized that we were expanding into more of a repair and restoration business serving customers in North Carolina, and South Carolina, Virginia, and various cities on the east coast on an "as needed" basis.
Our specialty is Preventative Maintenance, Customer Education, and Restoration and repair of all types. By starting out as a small part time company, with only one person in the service department, we felt that Customer relations would be our strong point. There would never be a "chain of command" or constant "shuffling of the customer" to get you the answers needed. With that philosophy, it's called “One Customer, One Call, and One Answer!" The program was developed with one concept in mind: Strive to be head and shoulders above the competition through quality, affordable and timely service, resulting in superior customer relations. Even with the growth we have experienced, in past seasons, this still to this day is our main focus!
Another philosophy that sets us apart
It is known that diagnosis is 90% of the work involved in correcting any issue aboard a boat? Physically correcting it is generally the easy part. However, finding the right technician to diagnose the problem is not always that easy for the owners. There are many mechanics out there who are not necessarily technicians. They use guesswork, time and money to try and diagnose a problem. When a problem occurs for a customer, we will come and look at the issue, diagnose it, write an estimate, and discuss it with the owner, making recommendations and offering options if available. But what sets us apart, is we will also be prepared to advise what caused the problem, and how it can be prevented from occurring again.
We take sincere pride in our
customers as well as the services we perform and the results show it both
in cosmetics and performance! We promise to leave our customer’s boat
cosmetically better than we found it! Little things like using plastic or
cardboard coverings on the deck and washing the boat down upon completion,
is what sets us apart from most. The areas we specialize in are areas that
most yacht owners secure outside services to perform. Many owners don't
have the time for, or don't want to fool with these necessary elements to
boat ownership. They are more content, in most cases, to get to the boat,
turn the key, and go cruising!
Most common problems can be prevented, and
less costly to the yacht owner, with a bit of education. It is our firm
belief that Communication and Education cultivates the relationships we
build with each client. At Glassic Boatworks, we have over 20 years of
experience and can eliminate the guesswork out of
repairs. Think about it and it makes perfect sense. Find the right
technician with the experience, and you save time. Since time is money,
you'll find yourself saving both. You will usually be back on the water in
less time than it takes most marine mechanics to guess their way through
your repair.
This philosophy and way of doing business has generated a customer base that returns and advertises for us, thus eliminating the need for a massive outside advertising budget which you the customer end up paying for in the long run with higher labor rates.
Finally, an honest, qualified technician will also know his or her strengths, weaknesses and limits. Instead of ‘faking our way" through it and experimenting with your money and our time, we will be prepared to tell you honestly, that a job may be out of our realm. Then if you wish, we will gladly assist in locating someone qualified to do the work you requested.

1) Complete engine diagnostic, service, and maintenance. Inboard, or I/O either gas or diesel!! (Sorry we don't have the capabilities for Outboard service at this time)
2) Complete electrical service, both 110VAC and 12VDC systems including custom design, repair and installation.
3) Complete Electronics Design, Installation and Instruction.
4) Custom restoration and fabrication services. ( interior and exterior)
5) Custom design, sales and installation of marine HVAC systems
6) Marine parts and accessory catalog available. (Ships store)
7) Complete Packing, Unpacking and Setup for transporting yachts.
Last but not least, We are an authorized IMTRA Marine Products Dealer, specializing in the product lines of: Lighting, Anchoring, Wipers, Hatches, and Pumps/Tankage systems.
